Reading and Logic | Ages 4–5
Level: Intermediate and Up

Class Schedule:

No prior reading skills are required to join this class.

Students learn to recognize syllables, explore different syllable patterns, and begin reading their first words in Russian. Each lesson is built around a themed story featuring a special character and combines conversation practice, reading, comprehension, and logic activities.

Conversational Russian & Vocabulary| Ages 5-7
Level: Lower Intermediate and Intermediate

Class Schedule:

Tuesday 5:30-6:30 pm

A class designed for children who need more opportunities to speak, understand, and confidently express themselves in Russian.

Children learn new words and expressions and practice using them in meaningful conversations. They learn to answer questions, describe and compare, explain their ideas, tell stories, and participate in conversations.

The goal is not simply to learn new vocabulary, but to make new words part of the child’s active, everyday speech.

Russian Language & Literature|Ages 7–8

Level: Intermediate & Up

Minimum requirement: Children should be able to read Russian at the level of complete phrases and sentences.

Class Schedule:

A first introduction to Russian grammar and literature, designed to build strong language and literacy skills.

Children begin exploring parts of speech and fundamental Russian grammar rules taught in elementary school. Through engaging language games and activities, they practice using grammar in meaningful ways.

Students also begin reading their first short stories and books, developing reading comprehension.

The class includes writing practice, with children gradually transitioning from print to cursive handwriting as their skills develop.

Geography|Ages 6–8

Level: Intermediate & Up

Class Schedule:

Learning geography in Russian is a fun way to build language skills while exploring the world around us.

Children learn basic geographic concepts in Russian — continents, oceans, countries, and different types of landscapes — and discover the unique features of countries around the world.

Each country we explore becomes an opportunity to learn about its culture, traditions, plants, animals, and geography through engaging activities and hands-on projects.

Russian Language & Literature| Ages 10-11 &11-12

Level: Upper Intermediate & Up

Minimum requirement: Ability to independently read 5+ pages of Russian text.

Class Schedule:

Tuesday 6:30-7:30 pm and Friday 6:30-7:30 pm (Ages 9-10) ! Twice-weekly classes !
Friday 5:15-6:15 pm (Ages 11-12)

Children continue to deepen their understanding of Russian grammar while developing stronger conversational and communication skills.

They learn to express their ideas clearly both in writing and in conversation, analyze literary works in greater depth, and discuss characters, themes, and different perspectives.

Students read full-length books chapter by chapter, including both contemporary literature and age-appropriate classics for children and young adults.

Little Learners

Early Learning & Development | Ages 3–4

Minimum requirement: Children should be able to use the bathroom independently.

Class Schedule:

Through engaging, age-appropriate themed activities, children develop conversational language, early math and logical thinking skills, and communication skills.

Children are introduced to their first letters and sounds while also developing fine motor skills through hands-on activities, crafts, and playful learning.

The class also helps children learn how to participate in a group, follow classroom routines, listen to the teacher, take turns, share ideas, and interact with other children.

Russian Language & Literacy|Ages 5–6 and 6-7

A balanced program designed to develop early Russian reading, writing, and comprehension skills through a combination of structured learning, interactive activities, and language games.

Children gradually progress from letters and sounds to reading phrases, sentences, and short texts when they are ready. They practice age-appropriate writing skills and develop stronger reading fluency and comprehension.

Children also learn to follow instructions, complete tasks independently, and work both individually and as part of a group.

The program builds the skills and confidence children need to become more independent readers and learners.

Russian for beginners| Ages 5-7 and 10-12

Level: No prior Russian knowledge is required.

A specially designed program for children who are just beginning to learn Russian or know only a few words and phrases.

Using engaging, age-appropriate methods, children build their first vocabulary and learn basic conversational phrases through games, stories, songs, visuals, and interactive activities.

The focus is on developing understanding, encouraging children to start speaking Russian from the very beginning, and developing reading skills appropriate for their age.

History | Ages 5–7

Ancient World

Level: Intermediate & Up

Class Schedule:

Thursday 4:30-5:30 pm

An engaging introduction to the world of ancient civilizations, designed to spark children’s curiosity about history.

Together, we explore Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Mesopotamia, and other early civilizations, learning about how people lived, what they believed, how they built their cities, and how they shaped the world around them.

Through stories, discussions, games, creative projects, and hands-on activities, children discover history while developing their Russian vocabulary, communication, and ability to ask questions and share their ideas.

Mommy & Me Russian | Ages 1–3
Level: All Levels Welcome
Class Schedule:

Monday 10:30-11:30 am
‍Wednesday 5:15-6:15 pm

No prior Russian language experience is required.
Through age-appropriate activities, children develop early communication skills, expand their vocabulary, and begin interacting with others in Russian. Each themed lesson includes activities that support fine and gross motor development, social skills, and early language development.

Parents or caregivers actively participate in class alongside their child.

Russian Reading & Speech|Ages 6–8

Level: Intermediate and Up

Class Schedule:

Wednesday 4:15-5:15 pm

*This program is a great fit for children with little or no previous reading experience in Russian.

A Russian language and literacy class for children who are just beginning to read in Russian or can currently read only simple words.

Children strengthen their reading skills by practicing more complex syllable patterns and gradually moving from words to phrases, sentences, and short texts.

The class also supports language development and reading comprehension, helping children understand what they read and express their ideas about the text.

Science in Russian| Ages 6–8

Level: Upper Intermediate & Up

Class Schedule: Wednesday 5:15-6:45 pm

Learning Russian through science is a great way to go beyond everyday language while exploring fascinating topics and ideas.

The school year is divided into science units, with each unit focusing on a different field — botany, anatomy, physics, astronomy, chemistry, and more. Children explore engaging topics and complete hands-on projects throughout the year.

Experiments are only part of the class. We also focus on the theory behind what we observe, encouraging children to ask questions, make predictions, explain their thinking, and express their opinions in Russian.

Important: Children must be able to follow safety rules carefully and consistently, as some lessons may involve potentially hazardous materials or equipment.

Russian Language & Literature|Ages 8–9 & 9–10

Level: Upper Intermediate & Up

Minimum requirement: Ability to independently read 1–2 pages of Russian text.

A more structured approach to Russian grammar, writing, reading, and language development. Children continue to study grammar rules, practice through engaging activities and language games, and develop retelling, writing, and reading comprehension skills.

In literature, we move to longer stories, short novellas, and chapter books. We focus on engaging, age-appropriate Russian children’s literature that children actually enjoy reading, including contemporary books. Our goal is to strengthen reading skills while helping children develop a genuine interest in reading in Russian.

Math & Logical Thinking|Ages 5–6

Level: Intermediate & Up

For young children, math is much more than solving worksheets full of equations. Our classes focus on logical thinking, problem-solving, and learning how to find answers.

We turn abstract mathematical concepts into real, concrete situations that children can see, understand, and work with. Through puzzles, games, discussions, and everyday scenarios, children learn to reason, make connections, and apply mathematical thinking to the world around them.

The goal is not simply to memorize how to solve a problem, but to understand why it works and develop the confidence to find solutions independently.

NEW Science in Russian|Ages 8–10

Level: Upper Intermediate & Up

Class Schedule:

Saturday 12:00-1:00 pm

In the first semester, we will explore anthropology and the story of human life — from theories of evolution and early humans to forensic science. Children will explore fascinating topics through hands-on projects, discussions, experiments, texts, and workbook activities.

Children are expected to read independently and communicate confidently in Russian, as part of the learning material is presented through texts and written assignments. We encourage them to ask questions, make predictions, explain their reasoning, and express their ideas in Russian.

Learning Russian through science allows children to expand their vocabulary and explore fascinating topics beyond everyday conversation.
